Our trip has begun!

Our journey from Ontario to California began on Sunday. We pulled the rig out of our son's place after a very enjoyable two months.
It made us really appreciate our mobile lifestyle, because we were able to stay here with our family, in our own familiar living quarters.

We drove to Sarnia, Ontario, and stayed overnight in the familiar Walmart parking lot. As usual, we spoke with a duty manager, and she courteously gave us permission to stay. In the morning, we crossed the bridge into Port Huron, MI, and went through the usual routine at the US border. After about 30 minutes, we were on our way through Michigan on I-69.

We drove to Anderson, IN on Monday, and stayed overnight at the friendly Walmart Supercenter, where we stocked up on groceries. On Tuesday, we drove through Kentucky to Nashville, TN, and we are staying for two days in a nice Passport America park on Music Valley Drive, near the Opryland Hotel.

Opryland is beautiful during the holiday season, and we will visit there tonight. The Navigator will spend a few hours today at the Opry Mills Mall, while I go to the nearby Camping World to look at new hoses and other interesting items.

We have stayed in this part of Nashville many times over the last 15 years, and it is great to be able to stay in a campground so close to the attractions. Nashville is one of our favorite places, a very interesting city.
