Time to leave California

It is with some regret that we prepared our rig for travel, after 3 months in this beautiful resort in the high desert of Southern California.
Our winter has been full of perfect weather, good friends and lots of trips to the many interesting destinations which are within a couple of hours drive from Rancho California RV Resort.
The hospitality of the American people has been outstanding, and we have numerous pleasant memories of our everyday life here, as we made the Temecula area our home for the last three months. We look forward to returning next January.
We are leaving tomorrow morning, April 3, and heading across the mountains and desert to Yuma, AZ, where we will spend the night. We are taking SR79 and SR78 to El Centro, where we will join Interstate 8. This route avoids the traffic and congestion around the San Diego metropolitan area.
We will be crossing the country on I-10, stopping in New Orleans for a couple of days, and then northwest Florida for ten days, then back north to Ontario, arriving on May 3.
We will be posting daily, so follow us on our travels!

  1. Safe travels. We know you are an excellent chauffeur Dave so no worries there. We will miss you, but for this year will travel beside you by your blog. Next year you will just be looking out the rear view mirror and there we will be. Have a fantastic trip

    1. We will miss you both too, and of course Bandit the Dog. Next year will be our epic journey together. Thanks for taking the pics this morning as we were leaving.
